You need decompile model using "Crowbar" tool, rewrite qc for GoldSource and compile, its simple. If model are too detailed and compiler refuse to compile you need split in 3d editor model into multiple .smd's then add to qc.
And in HL1 don't has vertex weights, so NPC's and hands on view models will looks worse that in HL2.

If you decompile source model with "Crowbar" tool, you don't need rotate model, also I recommend use this program instead of other, because it more superior. If you use outdated MDL Decompiler, you need $origin 0 0 0 90 or -90 don't remember exactly.
