Since Half-Life's built-in shadows are trash, Paranoia's shadows are disabled (?), and both HLFX and Highlander's engine are closed source, there's not much choice when it comes to having shadows in-game.
This leaves us with blob shadows. They're not in vanilla Half-Life, but are in Counter-Strike:
Is there a way to have this in the regular game (maybe in conjuncture with the Paranoia version)? I would really want to have at least some kind of shadows in the project I'm currently working on, otherwise it looks as if all of the models are floating instead of being connected with the ground.
